HSRC is proud to participate in UNC’s University Research Week, November 8-12, 2021. University Research Week is an annual celebration of Carolina’s research excellence and an effort to increase participation by students, of all levels, in research activity. As part of the 2021 celebration, HSRC will be presenting the following webinar:
Public Health, Economic Growth, Leisure: How transportation research impacts all our lives, every day

Transportation is the simple act of moving people or things from one place to another. While simple in concept, the reality of our transportation system is extraordinarily complex and relies on experts from public health, the social sciences, planning, and engineering to ensure it is safe, efficient, and equitable. In this webinar, HSRC researchers will discuss how the transportation system impacts all our lives, and will highlight a number of ways it intersects with the health and well-being of people, local economies, and the environment.
