NC Graduate Students Interested in Transportation: Apply Now for $1,500 HSRC Scholarship

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (March 16, 2023 ) ─ The UNC Highway Safety Research Center is now accepting applications from graduate students at any of the University of North Carolina system campuses for a $1,500 scholarship.

The Megan Cornog Memorial Highway Safety Scholarship is an annual $1,500 scholarship awarded to a student with an interest in transportation who is working toward a master’s degree. The purpose of the scholarship is to foster the education and professional development of graduate students with an interest in transportation related areas, including, but not limited to, engineering, driver behavior, city and regional planning, public health, and environmental issues.

Candidates for the scholarship are evaluated on a 500-1,000 word essay, as well as career goals, extracurricular and professional activities, work experience, and academic performance.
