North Carolina Department of Transportation Research & Innovation Summit – 2020
The North Carolina Department of Transportation invites you to participate in the second annual NCDOT Research & Innovation Summit. The purpose of this event, hosted by HSRC, is to learn from and collaborate with peers in the public, private, and academic sectors and to discuss innovative transportation technologies and research.

The virtual event will be held on October 13 – 14, 2020; it is a free event. We look forward to seeing you – online – at the Summit!
The Summit program will cover the following topic areas:
- Environmental & hydraulics
- Planning & policy
- Integrated mobility/multi-modal
- Unmanned aerial systems
- Pavement & materials/operations & maintenance
- Structures, construction & geotech
- Traffic & safety
- Roadway design
Note about Continuing Education Units: NCDOT has approved the Summit for 6.5 PDH hours and will provide proper documentation soon. This event will also be eligible for American Planning Association/American Institute of Certified Planners certification maintenance credits. After the Summit is completed, HSRC will provide participant certificates that can be used to support filing for 6.5 hours of continuing education from the professional organization and/or association of the attendee’s choice.
