Many suggestions received through our survey cannot be adopted simply because the data is not available from the crash report form.
We thank everyone for their suggestions and comments! The following table addresses some survey suggestions.

| ITS deployment statistics with crash data. | Those statistics are available at http://www.itsdeployment.its.dot.gov. ITS vehicle solutions are not captured on the crash report form. |
| How were there 0 crashes in Greenville between 2005-7? | Unfortunately, it is not always possible to insert a notice that either scheduled or unscheduled maintenance is underway on some of the servers working behind the scenes for this website. Please contact us (see the About the Data page) if you encounter something like that. |
| I would love to know of the people who have had injuries and were wearing shoulder belts or lap belts only - How many were people with disabilities. How many were riding from a wheelchair. | Count people, not crashes or vehicles. Select two-way table. Select 'Injury Status' and 'Occupant/Motorist Protection' as variables. This will reveal injury by restraint type. Passenger disabilities are not collected on the crash form. Wheelchair is not an item on the crash form; it is possible that a wheelchair would be coded as 'other' in the restraint variable |
| number of deer vehicle accidents | Deer would be covered under the value 'animal' in several places: when counting crashes, the variables 'First Harmful Event' and 'Most Harmful Event'; when counting vehicles, the variables 'Most Harmful Event for vehicle' and the four 'Sequence of Event' variables. |

| You should be able to create tables that include multiple counties at teh same time without having to select and run a table for each county individually. So years X County essentially. | There are two regional variables that subdivide counties into groups: NCDOT Division and Highway Patrol Area. Otherwise, the only current solution would be for you to add up the numbers from the individual counties |
| breakdown by victim age | Count people, and select the variable 'Age' |

| Define the terms. Does alcohol involvement also include drugs? What if a person were using drugs, but not alcohol and got involved in an accident. Would that be counted under alcohol involvement? | Variables are documented in the help section. Run a two-way table, counting vehicles and using the variables 'Alcohol-Involved Vehicle Flag' and 'Driver Alcohol/Drugs Suspected' to see the relationship between these two variables. Absent alcohol, drug involvement is not counted as alcohol involvement. |
