Margaret Scully
Special Projects Manager
Margaret serves as the Special Projects Manager for the National Center for Safe Routes to School, which is housed at HSRC. In her position, Margaret coordinates the development of new resources such as the SRTS Guide, tip sheets and Web content, and plays a major role in the organization of national meetings and conferences. She also oversees a series of awards and mini-grant projects including the SRTS Transition Grants and the James L. Oberstar Safe Routes to School Award.
Margaret has nearly two decades of experience in bicycle, pedestrian, and environmental program management and policy development at the local, state, regional and national levels. She has worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham, and for a variety of local governments and universities both in the U.S. and abroad.
Ms. Scully has a B.S. in Zoology from the University of Rhode Island and a Master's of Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill .
